Below are the varieties of peppers I have available:
Sweet:
Various bell peppers - green, dark purple, lilac
Lively Italian - tapered fruits with sweet, juicy flesh, use as you would sweet bell peppers
Picnic Peppers - said to be one of the sweetest peppers around! Great for snacking or in recipes
Jimmy Nardello - An Italian heirloom that looks like a chili but is very sweet, great for snacking or frying
Mini Bell - tiny bell peppers that are so good to snack on
Sweet Banana - sweet peppers that are great for pickling or fresh eating in salad recipes
Cubanelle Pepper - sweet pepper that is native to Cuba and Puerto Rico, use in sauces, stuff it, eat it raw, it is the traditional pepper in sofrito
Hot:
Big Jim - similar in heat to a jalapeno, great for chili rellenos, salsas or salad, can be used red or green, red ones are great dried and used in ristras
Criolla Sella - hot peppers native to Bolivia, small green or golden orange fruits, mid heat level with rich citrusy flavor
Various Jalapenos - large and small, popular hot pepper used in many dishes or for fresh eating
Poblano - one of the most popular chilis in Mexican cooking, lots of flavor without being overly spicy, adds a bit of spice to dishes, roast for best flavor, great for stuffing too
Jamaican Scotch Bonnet - very hot! native to Jamaica, great for long cooking times to make jerks and curries, main ingredient in the vinegar sauce escabeche
Serrano - chili from the mountains of Mexico, 2-3 times hotter than a jalapeno, use in salsa or pickle them
