All Purpose Animal Salve

Animals can benefit from herbs too!  This animal healing salve contains calendula and plantain infused oils.  These herbs speed healing from cuts, scratches, burns, scrapes, bites, and other minor skin irritations.  Calendula increases blood flow to injured areas which helps the body grow new tissue and heal quicker.  Plantain has been used for centuries for wound healing.  It contains properties that reduce inflammation and block microbial growth. 
 
I have made this salve without essential oils because some animals cannot be exposed to certain oils.  Use sparingly on cats due to the trace amounts of salicylic acid that calendula contains, cats cannot properly metabolize salicylic acid. 
 
2 ounce black tin.
 
I have use this on our dog, horses, chickens, and ducks, it really works!!
